About Lorenzo Orlandi

Lorenzo Orlandi, was born in 1949 in Ostiglia (MANTOVA), Italy, but he lives and works in Milan. He works with magazines, advertising agencies and Italian and foreign publishers who spread scientific and environmental knowledge to adults and young people. He offers the following services: consultancy, design and making of illustrations concerning nature in all its aspects: from dinosaurs to current living animals, evolution history, reconstruction of natural environments and ecosystems, man’s prehistory, ethnology, geology, botanic, agriculture and gardening.

He graduated at the School of Applied Art of “Castello Sforzesco”, in Milan, and then he was in charge of the editing, iconographic researches and illustration layout for several books for the “P.Editoriali D’Ami” editing studio. He has experience as art director and is expert in military uniforms, history and costumes from ancient populations to the First and Second World War.

Furthermore, he teaches illustration at the “Scuola del Fumetto” of Milan and he has made various volumes for “RCS Fabbri” about the different techniques for nature drawing and painting (birds, horses, flowers, butterflies, etc.). All this, because he is eager to transmit his “vocation” to people who also love illustrating nature, among other things.
